EASY 10 MIN SELF RELAXATION PRACTICE - VIDEO CLIP
"Have you ever taken time to thank your body"?
It is very common that people have a negative attitude towards their bodies and themselves. Many trainers and therapists advice us to try to accept ourselves as we are. Easier said than done. We know that rather than almost hating the body for what it isn't we should learn to like it more for how it is.
This simple exercise can be a little miracle. Imagine how it would feel, if you thanked your body for 10 minutes during a relaxation every day: each area, every part of your body, step by step. During the first week your inner picture of yourself will start to change. Perhaps you won’t learn to love your body immediately, but you're going to feel better instead of putting yourself down.
Your mind needs repetition to make permanent changes in your self imagine. A daily 10-minute self-relaxation exercise for one month will make a positive change, and “a miracle” will happen.
This small video clip shows how I made guided relaxation in a popular live TV-program
at TV 1/YLE 2013 (Finland's national broadcasting company). The idea of the program
was to help people manage their usual Christmas stress.
